SO WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?
Revenue from Buzz Marathon helps fund the athletic programs at Lillian Larsen Elementary School grades K-8. All races are run on the grounds of Camp Roberts, just north of San Miguel, California. Out-and-back course on paved road with dirt and packed gravel shoulders. Flat to gentle rolling hills, with breathtaking views of oak-studded hillsides, Salinas and Nacimiento Rivers and abundant Central Coast wildlife. Start line is at 620′ in front of gymnasium and rises to 997′ at the marathon turn-around spot.
Parking is behind the gymnasium and along (but not on) the parade ground/air field.

The National Guard Army Museum is hosting packet pickup in the Museum Annex just inside the base security gate from 2-6pm (1400-1800 base time) on Friday the 15th. Museum open for your enjoyment 10AM-4PM on Saturday.
A course tour by bus will be available at 4:00pm (1600 base time) pending troop training schedule on grounds and course – a good chance to get parking/security taken care of before race day.
Gymnasium closed for renovations (may be open by race day)
All race day activities will therefore be held across street in classroom 120 (unless needed by Army troops currently in training) at starting line so shower availability this year in the air.
